A Life in Public Service
Ranjit Singh Gill has dedicated himself to serving the people of Kharar 52 through direct democratic engagement. He contested the assembly seat in 2017 on the Shiromani Akali Dal ticket, finishing third, and again in 2022 on the SAD-BSP alliance, finishing second in a closely contested race against the AAP candidate.
In July 2025, responding to the evolving sentiment of the people, he stepped back from SAD with a clear conviction: "It is the will of the people of Kharar, I am only abiding by it." This move reflected his core commitment to grassroots democracy and his unwavering focus on what his constituents truly wanted.
With the National Vision
On August 1, 2025, Ranjit Singh Gill joined the Bharatiya Janata Party. He was inducted by Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Saini at his Chandigarh residence, joining senior BJP leaders in a show of confidence in the party's development agenda.
This transition reflected his conviction in the policies and programmes of the BJP under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Since then, he has welcomed the Prime Minister to Punjab, underscoring his active role in bringing the party's vision for equitable, rapid development to the state and to Kharar.
Development as Public Service
For Ranjit Singh Gill, public service and development are inseparable. His 25-year track record with GILLCO Group speaks to a deep commitment to community building. The company has been hailed by the press as playing a crucial role in Mohali's growth and is recognized as the first organized real estate development enterprise in the region.
In 2013, he founded Gillco International School, a CBSE-accredited institution that has become a top-ranked school in Mohali, nurturing generations of young minds. These ventures reflect a philosophy of equalitarian development, where growth benefits entire communities, not just individual investors.
Now, bringing this same vision to his public service in Kharar, he remains a believer in people-first development. The man who built Mohali's communities is committed to ensuring that every resident of Kharar benefits from equitable, sustainable growth.
